Iceland is small enough to circle in a week and varied enough that the same road looks like a different country in February and in July. These guides exist to answer the two questions that decide a trip: when to come, and what is actually worth your time once you are here.
If you already know your dates, start with the month. Each monthly guide covers daylight hours, what the weather really does, which roads and highland routes are open, and what is worth booking before you arrive.
If you know what you want to see instead, start with a place. There are guides to Reykjavik and to the towns most visitors drive past without stopping, plus regional guides for the South Coast, the Westfjords, the north and the east.
